Maxwell Has Us Thanking 'Gods' For This New Song Teaser

Maxwell is getting quite soulcial in 2013. Not only is he heavy on his Instagram and Twitter grind as he spreads a little SUMMERS' love, but he's also taken to Facebook to connect with and tease fans with his new-new. Last week he revealed a partial tracklisting to SUMMERS', and today he's upped the ante of anticipation with a 40-second snippet of the intro verse to the song "Gods" that he posted to Facebook this afternoon along with the lyrics. Maxwell made sure to note that this is not the first single nor the official artwork, but what it is is enough to have stans and fans chomping at the bit for more. And more looks as if it will be coming soon because Max included the hashtag #MaxwellMondays and wrote in another Facebook post that the chorus and full final mix of "Gods" are both on the way. The prospect of #MaxwellMondays makes the first day of the work week something to totally look forward to if it will in fact be a regular occurrence. "Gods" is written and produced by Maxwell (as always billed as "Musze") and frequent collaborator Hod David, and this work-in-progress sounds like more of that classic Maxwell soul that we've come to know and love. Peep the lyrics and listen to the teaser after the bounce, and be sure to follow Maxwell across all of his social networks because you never know what he's gonna do next. Thank goodness we love his surprises.

After the bounce

the unsaid is known / in spite i can't let it go / the answers don't ever make no sense when the / questions are up to you / if you want you can fly you can float / you can walk, you can do what you want / but if the smallest seed of feeling is left with you / you will see you were wrong
