Terrace Martin Asks Us All 'Why'

After watching Kendrick Lamar's phenomenal performance on SNL this past weekend many of you were probably unaware that it was jazz musician/producer Terrace Martin gracing us with that saxophone performance during "Poetic Justice." Well, maybe the assumption that y'all were as clueless as I was is an overstatement, but I thank Butta for dropping that knowledge. Well TV appearances for the talented artist couldn't be timed better as he preps for the release of his forthcoming album 3ChordFold. If the Jay Rock and Wendi Vaughn featured cut "Why" is any clue of what we have in store on Martin's latest effort, it may be worth checking out. I distinctly remember Beanie Sigel sampling this Rene and Angela classic, but this track didn't make Terrace's album due to clearance issues. Fortunately, Martin found no need for a perfectly good track to go to waste and released it for our listening pleasure. Stream below as the two emcees speak on lessons learned and life struggles while we look out for 3ChordFold due out this year.
