The current Queen of Coolness, Jessie Ware, stopped by BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge today and delivered a beautiful rendition of Rihanna's hit single "Diamonds." Her elegant, understated approach completely transforms the song and, in my opinion, renders the original even more redundant and annoying, a feat that was also achieved by Marques Toliver. Jessie stopped by the studio as part of a series of shows celebrating the nominees for the upcoming BRIT Awards, in which Jessie has been nominated for British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist, not bad for a lady who was thought of as a "voice for hire" on various dance records a little over 12 months ago.
