Back in December we had the chance to interview one of our favorite producers, Soulpersona. Towards the end of the interview he gave us the lowdown on what we could expect from his DigiSoul label in 2013, and one name that cropped up was Carl Hudson. For those of you who don't know Carl is a very talented keyboardist who has worked with some big names in soul/jazz, Omar Lye-Fook, Jocelyn Brown, Leon Ware and The Jones Girls have all been backed by him, as well as live performances alongside Soulpersona and Princess Freesia. He will be releasing an instrumental jazz-funk album later this year and has kindly shared a demo of the track "Two Steps Ahead" to give us a taste of the full LP. Taking us back to the late '70s/early '80s, Carl's dreamy soundscape is the perfect way to kick off your Monday.
