Japan's RLP Livens Up Ciara's 'Body Party'

It's been more than a few years since anybody has I have gotten excited about anything Ciara related. While I'm sure there are some who are still holding out hope that CiCi can reclaim her spot at the top of the Bump N' Grind charts, the truth is that she keeps retreading the same ol' formula: a little breathless cooing combined with her best stripper moves. So while the release of her latest single and video, "Body Party," may have been just what the doctor ordered for some, it left me feeling like I had seen and heard it all before. Enter Japan-based producer RLP. Although I had never heard of him before, he caught my attention when his reworking of "Body Party" was so good that I was halfway through it before I realized I was humming along and body rolling to a Ciara song. Presented to us by the good folks at Soulection, RLP's cosmically good refix features all of the sex appeal CiCi was going for with none of the lifelessness that she actually succeeded at.
