You Are In For A 'Treat' With This Omar & Caron Wheeler Collaboration

Yesterday we brought you a 26-minute teaser of what will surely be one of the albums of the summer 2013, Omar's The Man. Words cannot quite describe just how excited we are here at SBHQ that Mr. Lye-Fook is back after a seven-year absence on the solo front. The Man is jam packed full of trademark Omar grooves, fusing everything from soul, jazz, hip-hop, Latin and calypso, but one of the standout tracks thus far is "Treat You," a beautiful duet with former Soul II Soul frontwoman Caron Wheeler. Now that it's been committed to wax, we cannot fathom why this pairing has not happened before, but it's here now and it's the real deal. The pair trade verses, with Omar playing the apologetic male and Caron the wronged woman, and both sound fantastic, especially Caron who has MIA for far too long now.
