Aaron 'Ab' Abernathy Serves Up More Soul On 'Prologue Vol. II'

Aaron "Ab" Abernathy is making moves with the release of Prologue Vol. II, the follow-up to last summer's Prologue Vol. I. On this EP his voice massages the heart strings with his soulful renditions of R&B favorites like Case and Joe's "Faded Pictures" and Brandy's "Almost Doesn't Count." The song that took it there for me was what he did with Faith Evans' "You Used To Love Me." Something about his tonality and the bassline just make you wanna have a dirty martini and do a slight head bop/hip swivel. That song just cut me to the white meat. Also worth noting is the single "All This Love," a DeBarge remake that features the hardest working rapper in independent soul Phonte flexing his grown-man MC skills. Black Milk and Nat Turner are also collaborators. This joint is well worth the listen, which you can do after the bounce, and more than worth the free download, whichis available now on Ab's website.
