To promote his new album Where Does This Door Go, Mayer Hawthorne performed the lead single "Her Favorite Song" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. Mr. Hawthorne jammed out to some simple choreography with his two background singers who sported '90's-style, En Vogue-on-a-yacht striped dresses with side cutouts. Noticeably absent was his collaborator Jessie Ware, but the background vocalists (one of which is none other than Jimi James) held Mayer and his grown man short set down lovely. As a fan of his music, swag and style I was pretty happy that he was able to put forth such a good showing. Hopefully this performance will get people out the door or to their computer to pick up his album, which is available now and worth every penny.
