Daley Doesn't Want His Heart 'Broken'

It's often joked about that the best way to get over a lost lover is to get under a new one, but affairs of the heart are rarely a laughing matter. Oft times when a breakup occurs the last thing on your mind is getting involved with someone else. Whether you need to spend some time alone to regroup or wallow in your sorrows, the choice on what to do next is up to you. In Daley's case, which he makes ever so plain on the song "Broken," heartache has him throwing in the towel and giving up the fight. The single gets a cinematic video as big as the song is bold. The visuals take us from dawn to dusk with Daley seen outdoors greeting the sunrise. But it's not enough to melt the ice around his heart created by the brunette beauty also seen in the clip. Random scenes of him singing in a huge warehouse while a cellist and drummer play are mixed in to convey the emptiness that remains even where music exists. Or at least that's my interpretation. Whatever the case, this is another strong piece of work from the talented crooner whose debut album Days + Nights can't be released soon enough (or at the very least get a solid release date) if it holds more aural treasures such as this.
