The Foreign Exchange Bring It On 'Home'

There's little doubt that Love In Flying Colors, the fourth album from The Foreign Exchange, is one of the most anticipated releases of 2013 here at SBHQ. We have already seen the tracklisting and artwork, and had "Her" and "Him" teasers, and now we have the project's lead single to tide us over till the album drops September 24th. "Call It Home" is more an evolution of sound rather than a change of direction for Nicolay and Phonte, retaining the ambient, future soul of previous outings but with a more upbeat edge that hints at the soulful house sound they displayed on the incredible "So What If It Is" and their compilation +FE Music: The Reworks. However, they have chosen to not go all out house, at least for the single, and I have to say I'm pretty enamored with the results. The single is available now via iTunes and Amazon, and includes the instrumental of "Call It Home" along with the non-album B-side "Pity," which sees Phonte in fine storytelling form. And, because they can, they've also released the video for "Call It Home," which you can look for after the bounce.
