Didn't I just say that Robin Hannibal was having a banner year? Now he is adding to his resume yet again as he has popped up on Yuna's brand new single, proving that his producing wizardry is some of the best around in independent soul. For "Falling" a Quadron-esque sound oozes out, just this time it's complete with a swelling backdrop of strings and Yuna's candied sweet tone that mask the nature of heartbreak the lyrics outline. Like with "Live Your Life," her great Pharrell-produced debut single, Yuna kicks off a new project in a big way as "Falling" is the peerless first taste of her upcoming sophomore set Nocturnal, which will be out this October 29th. No word on if Hannibal is producing all or most of Nocturnal, but I'm crossing fingers and toes that these two together becomes a more constant occurrence.
