Even though Labor Day has come and gone, its still not too late to get your backyard funk fest going. Here to help is Opolopo who goes IN on this remix of the Dazz Band classic "Let It Whip." He takes something that may only be heard these days on an oldies but goodies radio station and brings a modern spin to it, ready for a sexy lounge or the dance floor. I am sure that this updated take will pleasantly surprise even the fiercest funk fan. Opolopo takes great care in bringing the subtle soul and funk nuances out in only a way that an astute student of the genre could. According to Opolopo he was commissioned for a remix compilation of Motown hits that never came to fruition. That's most unfortunate, but we can all be thankful that he has broken this out just in time to end the summer.
