Jhené Aiko is on the eve of releasing her new EP Sail Out. But before she drops it, she whets our appetites a bit more with another leak from the release. This time she's teaming up with hip hop's hottest Kendrick Lamar for her song "Stay Ready (What A Life)." The song is an extra smooth jam that finds the singer placing ghostly vocals over a dreamy synth track, letting her paramour know that "there's no better place than here, there's no better than now" for them to get together. After a hot verse from K. Dot in the middle of the song, however, she flips the beat to something a bit darker and waxes on the life that she's been living. While the song's first half is all Jhené, the second section honestly feels a lot like her current tour mate Drake (that's meant in the best way possible) as she borrows his emo sensibilities and a bit of his posturing swag (sorry) to dig into the track.
