Osunlade Gives Zara McFarlane's 'Angie La La' Some Dancing Shoes

Zara McFarlane's "Angie La La" was easily one of the best vocal jazz numbers I've heard all year, but the mellow jazz tune might not have been lively enough for everyone. For those that wanted a bit more spice, allow Osunlade to deliver exactly that as he throws some soulful house into the works for his Yoruba Soul Mix of the track. Bumping up the BPM just a hair, he works around the track's bass line and piano, adding hand claps, shakers, bongos and a wicked bit of kick drum bump that really gets the track moving. These elements are woven around the vocal tapestry that Zara and Leron Thomas deliver and create a delicious slice of warm, jazzy house that's sure to get you moving and grooving. "Angie La La" is set to be released as a digital single on November 25th, just ahead of Zara's upcoming album If You Knew Her, which is slated to arrive in January. Cut a rug to Osunlade's mix of the track. [H/T: SPIN]
