8th Grader Brings You 'All The Sweetness'

Ever since our ears crossed paths with singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist 8th Grader's self-titled EP this past spring, we've been open to his nu-R&B stylings. Plus anyone brave enough to remake Queen Janet Jackson's classic "Let's Wait Awhile" and get it right automatically gets props with us.

The props continue today for 8th Grader who was dope enough to give SoulBounce the exclusive world premiere of his music video for the song "All the Sweetness." The original version of this track produced by Jim Greer, who's also worked with Foster The People, can be found on 8th Grader, but for the music video 8th Grader decided to use the alternate version of "All the Sweetness" that he released in June and it's proven to be a great choice for these visuals.

The black-and-white clip featuring 8th and his lady moving in and out of the shadows, him singing and her luxuriating on a beach, flows well with the laid-back, almost melancholy vibe of the "Vocal + Piano Version" mix of the song. In their scenes together, the couple subtly seem at odds but clearly neither is ready to walk away -- "All the Sweetness" keeps them holding on. Enjoy this world premiere video, and join us in looking out for more from 8th Grader in 2014 and beyond.
