Tamar Braxton Goes 'All The Way' On The Soul Train Awards 2013

Tamar Braxton sang her heart out after she scooped up three awards last night at the Soul Train Awards. Up against Alicia Keys, Chrisette Michele, Janelle Monáe and Kelly Rowland, Tamar was the first artist to win the now renamed Chaka Khan Best Female Artist award. She also won Song of the Year for "Love & War" and the Ashford and Simpson Songwriter's award. After an emotional and heartfelt speech, she wowed the audience by singing a medley of "Love & War," "The One" and "All the Way Home." Sitting on a swing in an illusion jumpsuit with her naughty bits covered in sequined flowers, Tamar carefully sang "Love & War," saving energy for a choreographed performance of "The One." Tamar shimmied along with her male dancers and had fun before she ended the medley with her newest single "All the Way Home." The audience bopped their heads with approval as she belted out the track validating the fact that she did that. With a few awards under her belt and new fans I'm sure, Tamar held her own during the performance, nervous jitters and all.
