Pharrell & Nile Rodgers 'Get Lucky' At BRIT Awards 2014

Boy, Pharrell Williams is racking up some serious frequent flier miles this week. Just a few short days after rocking the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, he jetted out to London to take the stage at the BRIT Awards. There, he was joined by his Chic's Nile Rodgers for a buoyantly fun medley of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," Chic's "Good Times" and Pharrell's "Happy." Every time I think I can't stand to hear "Get Lucky" or "Happy" again, Skateboard P proves me wrong by making me get up and dance along to these smash hits. I mean, really, who can resist when he's visibly having the time of his life and the camera pans to audience members who seem to be having just as much as him? And while a joyous Pharrell is always nice, seeing Rodgers up there getting his shine on is even better. His signature guitar riffs have always been surefire party starters and knowing that his triumphant return to the music scene was preceded by a cancer diagnosis gives even more cause for celebration.

Next up for Pharrell are this weekend's 45th Annual NAACP Awards, where he's nominated in multiple categories, including Entertainer of the Year. He'll then follow that up next weekend with 86th Annual Academy Awards, where he's nominated for the first time ever for his megahit "Happy" and will also clock in a performance of the song on the telecast.  Judging by the way both men have kicked started the year, I'm guessing that their 2014 will be just as prolific as their 2013 for Williams and Rodgers, and I'm definitely happy with that.
