Once the weather stops wreaking havoc on most of our serotonin, we’ll be able to celebrate sunshine, blue skies, warm breezes and all things outdoors all over again! Speaking of being outdoors, one our favorite outdoor events comes back this year with an insanely talented artist roster that has us counting down the days. The 7th Annual Roots Picnic will take place Saturday, May 31st at the Festival Pier in Philadelphia.
So who’s performing you ask? The Roots (of course), Snoop Dogg (backed by The Roots), Janelle Monáe, Action Bronson, A$AP Ferg, Jhené Aiko, Rudimental, Bad Rabbits, Just Blaze and more. If you're an early bird, tickets for the event will be available for pre-sale on Thursday, March 6th starting at 12pm at www.RootsPicnic.com. Tickets will then be on sale for the general public starting Friday, March 7th.
Also, as part of its year-long 15th Anniversary celebration, our friends at OkayPlayer will also debut a summer concert series at Summer Stage in Central Park. Seems like our summer concert lineup is already looking to be in good shape.
