Latch On To Talos' 'Tethered Bones'

A new day, a new male singer/songwriter/producer. Except, based on his first single "Tethered Bones," there is more to Talos than "just another...[insert male singer/songwriter/producer of choice]." Yes he has a sound reminiscent of James Blake, SOHN and James Vincent McMorrow -- think atmospheric electronics, brooding beats and a silky smooth falsetto -- but "Tethered Bones" is beautiful in its simplicity and straightforwardness, both in terms of lyrics and composition. The 26-year-old Irishman, real name Eoin French, describes the track as "a love song about how a relationship can engulf and transform you" and, after giving it several spins, we have to say he nails the sentiment perfectly.
