Earlier this year, Zara McFarlane blew us away with her sophomore album, If You Knew Her, which was released by the good folks at Brownswood Recordings. The Bounce-Worthy artist's crisp, smooth and jazzy voice definitely caught our attention with the hauntingly beautiful track "Open Heart." Fast forward to this week, and "Open Heart" gets an unique treatment by London producer Swindle. The original was already perfect with steel drum percussion backing Zara’s clear vocals, but Swindle manages to take the song in an entirely new direction by infusing his trademark sound of dubstep and funk melodies in this remix. It's an interesting and unexpected twist for the song, but it absolutely works. Swindle successfully added extra electronic layers without distracting the listener from Zara's pure voice. "Open Heart" will be Zara's second official single and will be released digitally on April 28th via Brownswood.
