Love isn't always sunshine and roses, and that's a concept that songstress Elle Varner is exploring in depth on her upcoming 4 Letter Word. She's been introducing fans to the set track-by-track over the past few weeks and returns with the latest release from the record, "Little Do You Know." Over a smooth, funky, rock-tinged track, the "Refill" singer laments putting on a front to hide her broken heart. "I've been laughing, I've been drinking just enough to cover up the pain, to maintain the illusion," she sings before launching into the song's larger-than-life chorus. While a solid enough effort from Elle, we can't help but wish that this was something a little more upbeat from Elle, as everything previewed so far from the set has focused on the more painful side of love. Guess we'll have to wait and see if there will be some bright moments among gloom when 4 Letter Word drops later this year.
