Taylor McFerrin & Nai Palm's 'Antidote' Is The Cure For What Ails You

Taylor McFerrin Stoop

It's been a long time coming, but musical wizard Taylor McFerrin is finally to release his debut album, Early Riser, this June. And it looks like the fruits of this labor were definitely well worth the wait by the sound of the album's lead single "The Antidote." Taylor roped in Hiatus Kaiyote frontwoman Nai Palm for this broken beat jam that ebbs and flows as it pleases and allows the singer's vocals to dance around, through and with the notes with abandon. The result is left-of-center, funky, yet low-key groove that is sure to please. Early Riser, which will also feature Robert Glasper, Emily King and Taylor's dad, the legendary Bobby McFerrin, is set to arrive in stores on June 3rd and can be pre-ordered via iTunes right now.
