While it's hard for us to pick a favorite track from Little Dragon's Nabuma Rubberband, it seems that producers clearly have theirs. "Paris," the quartet's second single from the project, has gotten the remix treatment several times over and receives yet another refresh from none other than Mayer Hawthorne and 14KT's Jaded Inc.
Somehow the twosome manage to make the new-wave sound of the original sound even more new-wave with their take, infusing the lovesick track with their own quirky sensibility. Squelching synth bass, programmed drums and interesting sounds make this take on the song unlike many of the other remixes we've heard and add a bit of fun to the melancholy vibe of the original. While the duo is currently promoting the recent release of their debut album, The Big Knock, we wouldn't be mad if they decided to remix a few more of our favorite tracks.
