She may have been unwell during her ill-fated Golden Electric Tour with Kimbra in Australia last month, but Janelle Monáe looked full of life and packed a punch with her performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. Performing her cover of David Bowie's "Heroes," which we filled you in on last month, Janelle rocked her usual flawless androgynous style, in a striped blazer and fitted pants. But, of course, it's never simply her unique look that captivates, but her consistently energetic showmanship that steals the light, and this performance was no exception.

Janelle and her band danced their way through this reworking of Bowie's classic, showing that they are faultless and know how to make all white suits look damn good. Don't forget that "Heroes" appears on Pepsi's Beats of the Beautiful Game LP, which you can grab from iTunes, in commemoration of the World Cup which starts today in Brazil.
