Remember Carol Riddick, the honey-voiced songstress who collaborated with Musiq Soulchild on "Soulstar" and dropped one of 2006's best albums, Moments Like This? Well here at SoulBounce we certainly do, and we have long been scratching our heads as to why she has never followed up with a sophomore effort, especially since she had co-signs from the likes of Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton and had a helping hand from some the biggest names in soul music, including James Poyser, Black Thought, Carvin Haggins, Ivan Barrias, Pino Palladino, Angie Stone and Steve McKie.

Well, we no longer need to bother ourselves wondering where Ms. Riddick went as she is back and gearing up to finally release that long-awaited sophomore album, Love Phases. The project's lead single, "Love Like I've Never Been Hurt Before," is a masterclass in smooth, sophisticated soul that fans of her previous work will fall head-over-heels for while Carol sings about giving her all in a relationship.
