Estelle is wasting no time in promoting her latest single, "Conqueror." Only releasing the song last week, she's already given us the video for the lead single from her upcoming album, True Romance, and it's one that's definitely worth a watch. The singer goes the artsy route with a black-and-white clip featuring dancers twirling, spinning and jumping as Estelle sing's the song's inspirational lyrics. While this is pretty standard fare for a pop video, especially one with a message like "Conqueror," there's something transfixing about the video, especially with the contrast of the dark-skinned dancer and Estelle against the stark white background.
It's pretty obvious that Estelle is aiming for the mainstream audience here, an audience whose attention she hasn't been able to grab since her initial US hit, "American Boy," way back in 2008. If this inspiring track and visual is able to find its footing, Estelle might just get her wish.
