Lately R&B crooner Ne-Yo can't seem to release a new track without a few bars from a rapper on it as we saw in his most recent collaboration with Jeezy for "Money Can't Buy." Now for his latest single, "She Knows," Ne-Yo enlists the help of our favorite ratchet lyricist Juicy J. The track is the second single from his upcoming album Non-Fiction, which debuts November 11th. The Dr. Luke-produced song is a smooth club banger featuring a limited back beat with dominant horns and a heavy bass and keys, which support the chorus where Ne-Yo's vocals shine. You're left to concentrate on the crooners chords, which is a plus despite the basic lyrics that contain all the elements of a club situation like twerking and a predictable night with a confident but attention-seeking woman.
Based on what we've heard so far, it looks like we can expect a heavy hip-hop presence on Non-Fiction. You can catch Ne-Yo on a 12-date concert tour, which starts in San Francisco on October 12th and hear more of this new album live on the road.
