Frequent collaborators Soulpersona and Princess Freesia have quickly built up a loyal fanbase thanks in part to their effortlessly vintage sound. Now the duo are calling on those fans to help them with the release of their of upcoming album, Fast Forward. They have established a page on PledgeMusic.com in hopes that fans will contribute to their album fund. Along with helping to ensure the album hits its February 2015 release date, pledgers will be able to purchase several packages that include perks such as receiving a personalized ringtone courtesy of Princess Freesia, a signed limited edition Soulperfreesia coffee mug, having their name included in the liner notes, hanging out in the studio with the duo, a signed limited edition vinyl album and much more.
With 99 days left in the campaign, Soulpersona and Princess Freesia have already hit 42% of their target goal at press time. While I have my own opinion about this trend of artists' fundraising campaigns, the duo makes a compelling case in a cute video featured on their PledgeMusic page. Don't believe me?
