Willow Smith Celebrates Her Birthday With '3'

We here at SBHQ are wishing one of our favorite teenagers, Willow Smith, a happy 14th birthday today. The littlest Smith is growing fast and is showing it with the release of her new EP 3. The set features "8," which was featured on DJ Kitty Cash's Love the Free Vol. 2 mixtape earlier this year. Meanwhile, she includes two new joints, including her track "9," a dreamy duet with SZA that she debuted during her recent trip to the FADER FORT in Brooklyn. Then there's the breezy "Flowers," a track led by lilting guitar and featuring a confident Willow as she waxes philosophical.

The three-track set is the latest in a steady stream of releases from Willow, including last night's release of new track "Cares." Perhaps released while having jitters about the public's reception of the EP or as a reaction to the constant criticism that seems to be aimed at the teenager, the track let us know that she ain't really studying what we or anyone else think about her. The teen's punk-ish singing is backed by only a constantly beating drum as her layered vocal proclaims, "I do not care what people say, I'll play this game the way I play." Some of the lyrics here get a little nonsensical, but the overall sentiment is something we all could probably rock to.

You can check out "Cares" and the tracklist for below. Meanwhile, 3 is currently available for free download via Google Play and will be available at other retailers on November 17th.
