In the lead up to the release of Burning Bridges, Ludacris has dropped the second single from the six-track EP, "In My Life." The mellow John Legend-assisted number sees Ludacris talking personal truths about his life experience in the spotlight. While we saw these two creating fireworks for the bedroom on "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" a few years back, we now see them tackling issues that show a different side to the Atlanta-based rapper. Luda gives a peek into the man behind the persona; what drives him, motivates him ("Went to Quincy Jones house / Realized I didn't have s**t / Got some work to do"), stimulates him and keeps him going.

Under Ludacris' lyrical flow is a warm base of saxophone and bass that creates a melancholy yet comforting jazz-hip hop feel to the number. Meanwhile John Legend heats things up on the chorus with his impassioned crooning that effortlessly conveys the misconceptions, confusion and personal growth that Ludacris rhymes about on his verses. With the soulful "In My Life" and the catchy "Good Lovin" giving a delectable taste of what to expect from Ludacris' Burning Bridges, you'll want to cop this EP when it drops on December 16th.
