Kenny Lattimore Assures His Love On 'You Have My Heart'

Kenny Lattimore On Point

Kenny Lattimore recently announced that his anticipated new album, Anatomy of a Love Song, would be arriving in the middle of next month. The project, which will feature lead single "Love Me Back," is sure to be a return to form for the velvet-voiced singer. If you have any doubt of that, just listen to the set's latest release, "You Have My Heart."

The song is a soulful throwback to when R&B was filled with touching love songs that weren't just about getting you in bed (though there's absolutely nothing wrong with a little GTD action). Instead of the usual, Kenny assures his love that his heart will always be there, no matter what. Backed by sentimental strings, horns and a smoothed out bass line, Kenny croons, "As long as the world keeps turning, baby / You have my heart / You've got every little piece of my heart." If the sweet sentiment sounds familiar, it's because "You Have My Heart" was set to be featured on his unofficial release Back 2 Cool a few years back. Though that project didn't quite come to fruition, we're very happy that Kenny salvaged this track to bring some love into our lives.

Kenny's Anatomy of a Love Song will hit retailers on April 14th via his own SincereSoul/eOne imprint. While you mark that date on your calendars, take a listen to "You Have My Heart" right here.
