Alabama Shakes dropped in on Saturday Night Live this weekend to bring their own brand of funk, rock and blues to the show. Performing "Don't Wanna Fight" and "Gimme All Your Love" from their upcoming album Sound & Color, lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard immediately captured the audience's attention with her soul-piercing vocals. For "Don't Wanna Fight," Howard opened the track with a funky guitar riff and then grabbed viewers with her signature squeal. You'll be fighting to keep your eyes off Howard whose energy is as captivating as her vocals, and the band and background singers who can't help but jam in the background.

All bets were off when the Shakes performed "Gimme All Your Love." The bluesy track showcased Howard's voice, particularly on the rock-heavy chorus where she commanded, "Gimme all your love!" The band did more than support Howard as they weaved in and out of the soft blues tones of the single and the harder rock elements with ease.

Alabama Shakes are currently on tour gearing up for the release of their sophomore studio album, Sound & Color, on April 21st. You can pre-order"Don't Wanna Fight" and "Gimme All Your Love" on iTunes or (repeatedly) watch their SNL performances right here.
