So Earth Day is kind of a big deal. Every year we celebrate the globe and (hopefully) learn how to be a little nicer to the environment. This year if you're in the Washington, DC area on Saturday, April 25th, you can join Broccoli City Festival and headliner Erykah Badu aka DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown to do just that. Held at the Gateway DC Pavilion from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., the event is a socially conscious festival featuring fresh food demos, live art installations, organic juice bars and eco-friendly vendors. If that's not enough for you, go for the music. In its third year, BC Fest features a star-studded and eclectic line-up with the likes of Thundercat, recent additions Willow Smith, Jaden Smith and Joey Bada$$, Kaytranada, Tink, Tiara Thomas and Carlitta Durand.

While the event's goal is to highlight solutions to environmental challenges, why not entertain attendees at the same time? Created by the Broccoli City Lifestyle Group and hosted by Rock Creek Social Club, the festival also includes partners like the Toyota Green Initiative, Whole Foods Market and DC Department of Parks and Recreation. Don't miss the yoga demos and fully stocked bars -- it's totally up to you if you decide to partake in both at the same time. If you're sold on the Broccoli City Festival, you can get your tickets over at BCFestival.com and let us know who you're excited to see from the earth and ear-friendly line-up. If you missed the festival last year, you can watch the recap right here to see what you can expect this year.
