As much as we didn't want Black Girls Rock! 2015 to end, alas it had to come to a close eventually, but it surely went out on a high note. The last performance of the evening was a tribute to disco that featured three unsung divas from the genre's heyday singing their classics.

Leading things off was Cheryl Lynn with an energetic performance of her most famous hit "Got To Be Real." She was flanked by lithe dancers, but the songstress held her own and displayed a few dance moves to the audience who were all up out of their seat and grooving along -- yes, even First Lady Michelle Obama!

After Cheryl Lynn warmed things up, Alicia Myers formerly of the group One Way came on stage to cool things down with the fan favorite "Thank You." The inspirational and aspirational song resonated with those in attendance, especially after the lovefest between Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith when he presented her with the Star Power Award.

Closing the segment out was none other than Kathy Sledge of the legendary group Sister Sledge to bring things home with "We Are Family." The anthem was the perfect song to end this night of sisterhood and Black women bonding on. Her actual sisters weren't with her, but Cheryl and Alicia joined Kathy to sing. It was awesome to see these three women whose music is a part of the fabric of our lives come together to display their contributions to our culture and celebrate Black Girls Rock! 2015.
