'Sorry To Interrupt' But Jessie J, Rixton & Jhené Aiko Have Something To Say

Though summer already had its unofficial start Memorial Day Weekend, the first official day of summer is a little over a week away, June 21st, to be exact. But that doesn't mean that artists and brands aren't already doing their best to make your summer the best that it can be. Kellogg's Pop Tarts, through its Crazy Good Summer campaign, is aiming to make your summer days good way beyond the breakfast table, and their first missive to do so is the new single "Sorry To Interrupt."

Produced by DJ Mustard, the song features pop singer Jessie J, boy band rockers Rixton and R&B's own Jhené Aiko as they shake off haters and make their presence known. With the song being aimed at the teen market, it's not surprising that the lyrics here don't make a lot of sense. However, it's worth noting that the three musical entities come together pretty seamlessly over Mustard's equalizing beat, which features his signature synth and bass bump, each delivering their own style (with Jessie J perhaps doing the most, as she kicks of the first verse and is the most prevalent voice on the chorus). It's mainly just a bit of mindless fun to keep kids jamming while they wile away their summer days.

The unlikely trio (well, technically it's a sextet), will also be coming together to perform the single at two Crazy Good Summer concerts, with the date and location of each performance set to be revealed on Pop Tarts' Tumblr page on July 2nd.
