Kehlani's been making waves all year with the release of her album, You Should Be Here, and it looks like she plans on keeping that momentum. To that effect, she recently dropped visuals for her single "The Way," which features buzzy MC Chance the Rapper. The song, a slinky, modern slow jam rooted in '90s R&B, is simple and straightforward in its approach as Kehlani sings about the numerous ways her love interest turns her on while Chance raps about a first encounter.

It's only right, then, that the video echoes the song's simplicity. Kehlani turns in a black-and-white clip for the track featuring her and two background dancers. With her tomboyish fashion and precise moves, she channels an in-her-prime Aaliyah as she seduces the camera. Meanwhile, Chance pops up mid-song to get in on the smooth moves as he performs an impromptu dance during his verse. Though basic in its premise, it manages to capture the feel of  the song and still keep viewers entertained.

"The Way" is just one of many jams featured on You Should Be Here, which is available for purchase now. You can also catch Kehlani performing the track on her You Should Be Here Tour, info for which can be found on her website. But before you go and snatch up your ticket, check out the video for "The Way" right here.
