After seeing a group once, one would think that seeing them again in short time span would be kind of predictable. However, that's not the case for Mad Satta. After catching their EP release show just eight days before, we had the pleasure of seeing the group again as they opened for songstress Goapele at New York City's Highline Ballroom.

It's no surprise that their set was just as good (if not better) than the first time. With lead singer Joanna Teters setting the pace with her rich vocals, the collective took the audience through material from their first album,  Comfort, and their Break Me Free EP, including "Fleeting," "I Would," and the single "Simpler Times." With the band going through their paces quite ably, they definitely set a mood and tone for the audience, who had come to see Goapele and discovered a compelling, up-and-coming band in the process.

As their set came to a close and Goapele's arrival grew imminent, they even served as hype men for her, encouraging the crowd to give it up for the headliner. With talent and humility to boot, it's not hard to see why it's easy to fall into Mad Satta's groove.
