Jordin Sparks Slows It Down On 'They Don't Give'

Jordin-Sparks-They-Dont

Ahead of the release of her upcoming album Right Here Right Now, songstress Jordin Sparks is giving us a love-laced ballad for our aural pleasure. Her new single "They Don't Give" features production from Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Salaam Remi. The '90s-inspired slow jam channels the bubblegum sweet R&B of yesteryear that we miss, and Jordin's smooth vocals are convincing enough as she sings protectively about her new relationship. "Why should we care at all / When God knows that they don't know a thing about love / I know that they don’t give an 'F' about us / God knows that they don't know a thing about love." Whether you give a hoot or know a thing about love or not, you have to admit the smooth R&B track is sweeter than what's currently on our airwaves.

While the third single from her album, which follows the release of the single "100 Years," doesn't sway us one way or the other to purchase her album, we are curious to sample the rest. So far we know Right Here Right Now has something for everyone, including sultry ballads, energetic pop and club music and, of course, some throwback R&B. The album has 14 tracks, which includes features from B.o.B, J-Doe, 2 Chainz, Shaggy and Elijah Blake. Right Here Right Now debuts on August 21st and you can pre-order it right now over at iTunes. Until then, listen to "They Don't Give," and let us know if you give this single the time of day.
