Lalah Hathaway has a lot a lot on her plate, especially with the impending arrival of her first-ever live album. With the dual release of the album's singles "Angel" and "Little Ghetto Boy" gaining instant acclaim, the singer has taken the promotion side of things one step further with her Tumblr site, #LittleGhettoBoyArt.

The page is used not only to promote her single, but also to promote others. There, you'll find photos of little ghetto boys and girls as well as poetry, artwork, meaningful messages, pictures of Lalah and her well-known friends and even musical contributions from other artists. And the singer is inviting all to help her in the curation of the page. All you have to do is simply hashtag your contribution with #littleghettoboy and #littleghettoboyart to get Lalah's attention and you might be featured on the blog.

Of course, Lalah is also using the venue to showcase some of her own art, as she did by including the lyric video for her cover of her father Donny Hathaway's "Little Ghetto Boy" on the page as well. The video, which features some scattered imagery to illustrate the plight of black boys in the still relevant song, focuses mainly on the lyrics. This approach allows the meaning of the song to sink in and remind us that black lives do indeed matter.
