While some of us were lamenting the woes of "another Manic Monday," Tamar Braxton was busy causing a stir thanks to some noteworthy television performances. Her Quickstep with Valentin Chmerkovskiy on the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars made us to a double take. But her dance routine wasn't the only impressive debut from the reality star that day. Earlier during the season premiere of The Real, the co-host gave audiences their first listen of her song "King" from her forthcoming release, Calling All Lovers.

With a running theme/lyric of "Fear not!" throughout, "King" is a stirring ballad with subtle spiritual overtones. Elegantly dressed in a shimmering gown complete with a dramatic, flowing chiffon cape, the singer remained seated on a gleaming white grand piano throughout the performance (no doubt resting her feet for her DWTS performance). A little shaky at first, Tamar began by softly singing over the beautiful piano-driven melody. But she quickly found her footing and convincingly delivered a powerful and inspiring vocal performance that visibly moved her co-hosts and caused Tamartians everywhere to rejoice.

Tamar recently took to social media to reveal, "I don't think I've ever worked so hard on something. I feel like it's my BEST work yet. In my opinion it's BETTER than L&W!!" So after checking out her performance below, head over to iTunes to pre-order Calling All Lovers (also available in a deluxe version) ahead of its October 2nd release date. As an added bonus, you'll get instant downloads of previous singles "Catfish" and "If I Don't Have You."
