And the good news just keeps coming from Corinne Bailey Rae's direction. After announcing her long-awaited third studio album, The Heart Speaks In Whispers, blessing our playlists with two sublime new songs, "Been to the Moon" and "Green Aphrodisiac," and taking us on a beautiful voyage in the music video for the former, the British chanteuse has unveiled a handful of U.S. tour dates to support the album and make her fans in a handful of locations very happy.
Wedged in between tour dates in Corinne's native UK prior to the album's May 13th release and before she hits the road with Lionel Richie in mid-June, the seven-city tour will commence on May 20th in Philadelphia. Along the way, she'll hit major cities such as Washington, DC, New York City and Seattle before wrapping up in Los Angeles for a two-night stand at The Lyric Theatre on June 9th-10th.
Although Corinne Bailey Rae has been absent from the stage for years, she is a seasoned live performer and even released the live CD/DVD Live In London & New York in 2007 following her first world tour. We're sure that much like a fine wine, Corinne's live show has only gotten better with time and we can't wait to see for ourselves.
Tickets to see Corinne Bailey Rae live this spring in the cities listed below go on sale on Friday, March 18th. If you don't see your city listed, cross your fingers that she has a more extensive U.S. tour in the works for later in the year.
