If you've ever wanted to take a trip to Japan while lamenting your relationship, Snakehips is giving you a taste of just that in their latest video. The UK-based production duo (Oliver Lee and James Carter) have joined forces with former One Direction member Zayn Malik aka ZAYN to deliver the upbeat dance track "Cruel," along with its colorful visuals. The single details a beautiful yet disastrous relationship as ZAYN plays the leading man. Singing, "Back where we left off  / I watch you take your dress off / I been by myself remembering you / How your body hurts me," we find the crooner reminiscing about his situationship that he can't quite hold onto. Despite its gloomy lyrics, the instrumentals are jovial and stacked high with dance and elctronic beats that match the neon lights of the visuals.

Earlier this year, Snakehips rolled out a few singles from their EP All My Friends, and it looks like ZAYN has joined the friend circle. If you recall, they delivered "Money on Me," with Anderson .Paak and "Falling," the R&B ditty with Malika. With unique sounds and production, the duo keep us guessing and we're curious to see what else they'll unleash in the world. Until then, you can transport yourself into their zone by watching "Cruel" featuring ZAYN. If you like what you're hearing, you can purchase the single right now over on iTunes.
