British singer-producer Jamie Lidell has been hypnotizing us with his voice for over 15 years. After dropping off animated visuals for his single "Walk Right Back" last week, he graced the airwaves of Santa Monica's KCRW with a live performance of his next single, "How Did I Live Before Your Love."
Backed by his band, The Royal Pharaohs, Lidell delivered a soulfully fun performance. While the song itself is ska-influenced, Lidell's vocals take center stage as he sings his heart out. "How did I live with half a heart?" is the repeated refrain as he ponders what life was like before love entered it. The clip is taken from his recent appearance on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic show. His appearance on the popular program will include an interview in which Lidell sits down to discuss his sixth studio album, Building A Beginning, which is set to hit stores October 14th via Jajulin Records.
