With promises of tropical climates, beautiful water, limitless libations and lovely accommodations, who wouldn't want to go on a cruise? This is especially true as the arrival of fall is the harbinger of the coming winter on the horizon. The only thing that could possibly make it better is if someone combined a great cruise with a music festival-worthy lineup of artists to entertain us on as we sail the seas. If that idea sounds your idea of heaven, then you're in luck, as the Contemporary Jazz Cruise is set to do just that in February — and it's doing so with a who's who of talent from the worlds of contemporary jazz and soul music.

The seven-day cruise will set sail on February 4th and can count a fair share of legendary performers among its precious cargo. SoulBounce faves Lalah Hathaway, Gregory Porter and the Robert Glasper Trio will be in the number, as will be Dianne Reeves, Pat Metheny, Terence Blanchard, Marcus Miller, Joshua Redman, David Sanborn and comedian Alonzo Bodden — and that's not even scratching the surface. In addition to stellar performances, cruise guests can also expect fine dining and first-class accommodations while docking in locales such as Nassau, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico and Labadee, Haiti. And as an added treat, David Sanborn will be reviving his Night Music series each night for those aboard with many of the artists performing during the cruise scheduled to sit in and discuss all things music with the legendary saxophonist and his band.

This definitely sounds like a cruise everyone needs to be part of. To see how you can book your room and for more information about the artist lineup and pricing, visit the Contemporary Jazz Cruise's website
