If you're looking for a night of good music and spoken word performances, you might consider checking out Love Jones: The Musical. Or, you could just tune into TV One on Wednesday, October 26th, for a special Verses & Flow premiere event. Sponsored by Lexus, the NAACP Image Award-nominated show has enjoyed five seasons since its 2011 debut. And while we're not sure if Wednesday's "very special episode" will serve as the sole programming option for Season 6, there's no doubt that the talent line-up makes this an event not to be missed.

Queen Sugar's Dondré Whitfield serves as host for the cable special. Meanwhile, an interesting mix of soul, hip-hop and alt-R&B artists grace the stage for the extended showcase, including SoulBounce faves Lion Babe, soulful crooner Joe, Chi-town femcee Dreezy, ever-evolving singer/songwriter Lloyd and rising R&B singers Kevin Ross and Ro James. It's not all about the music, though. Poetry and spoken word from returning artists like Prentice Powell, Imani Cezzane, Michael "Chief" Peterson (this time joined by his adorable daughter Mia Julian), Ed Mabrey and G. Yamazawa (with Elizabeth Acevedo and Pages Matam) are sure to entertain, enlighten and empower.

Catch a sneak peek of performances by Chiara Richardson and Roya Marsh below. Then tune-in (or at least set your DVR) to TV One at 11 p.m. EST/10 p.m. CST tomorrow night for the sixth season of Verses & Flow.
