Sevyn Streeter is gearing up to release her debut album at the top of next year, and she's been dropping single after single in the lead up to the set's release. While we've enjoyed the sounds of "My Love For You," "Prolly" and "D4L," we think she might've saved the best for last with her latest single, "Before I Do."

The single is a tender ballad that finds the singer cautious about making a love connection with a possible suitor. However, word on the streets is that he's already wifed up with another, which is rightfully giving Sevyn pause. Rather than play him completely to the the left, she comes directly to the source to get the information she needs. "I wanna let go, but I don't really know / I heard you got a girlfriend," she sings on the song's bridge. "Say it ain't so / You ain't on the low / I don't think I could handle it." Balancing out her trepidation is a soft and tender arrangement full of lush guitar that's reminiscent of The Isley Brothers signature sound (in particular, it seems to share the same DNA as Aaliyah's cover of "At Your Best").

The ballad is definitely a winner and, as with other Girl Disrupted singles, an accompanying video is soon on its way. Check out the full audio of "Before I Do" and a short video teaser below. Girl Disrupted is set to arrive on January 27th.
