Gallant, Tablo & Eric Nam Explore Love's Highs & Lows On 'Cave Me In'

Bounce-Worthy and GRAMMY-nominated artist Gallant made 2016 his year with a delightfully unexpected debut, Ology. However, that was only the beginning, instead of resting on his laurels, the artist is moving forward with his next project. For his latest single, the musical darling hooked up with Korean-Canadian rapper Tablo and Korean-American singer and television host Eric Nam to give us the lush grown and sexy ballad, “Cave Me In.”

Produced by Lophiie, “Cave Me In” is a mid-tempo ballad about the ups and downs of love that is set over lush synths, electronic flourishes and some light live instrumentation. Tablo described the track as a “perfect before-and-after-the-club-Uber-ride anthem,” saying that it gets you ready to go shoot your shot and also consoles you when you don’t quite hit the mark.

The video, directed by Daniele Manoli, features our cast of characters journeying aimlessly through the streets of Hong Kong looking ever-so-crestfallen as they walk around subway platforms and skyscrapers. Gallant does his trademark jazz camp moves while his co-stars give us slow saunters and a few bops. Towards the end of the clip, we see the object of their affection emerging from the darkness.

“Cave Me In” is the first single from Gallant’s upcoming new project, though there’s very little information available on what the artist has in store in 2017. Until we find out more, press play and get into the K-Pop-smoothed-out-on-the-R&B tip sound of his latest.
