After a few single releases, it looks like LeToya Luckett is finally en route to releasing her latest album. Last month, she gave us her single "Back 2 Life," which found the former child of destiny all grown up and dealing with what remained of a failed relationship. Now Ms. Luckett is putting the acting chops she gained from films like Preacher's Kid and on shows like Single Ladies for the song's cinematic music video.

LeToya plays opposite Thomas Q. Jones, of Being Mary Jane fame, as half of what seems to be a very happy couple. However, as the cliché goes, looks can be deceiving. What seems like paradise between the two has a few hiccups, particular her beau having an uncomfortably close relationship with his "bestie" Cynthia. Of course, LeToya peeps this early on and calls her man out on it, but she's quickly dismissed as "trippin'." Her female intuition proves to be correct, however, as the relationship between Cynthia and her man continuously drives a wedge between the couple. Things take a turn for the dramatic near video's end when LeToya decides that she's had all that she can stand and an intense argument between the two ensues. Though we don't like giving away endings, if you've given the song a spin, then you can pretty much guess where things head after that.

Still, LeToya keeps things entertaining the whole way through. Let's hope we can say the same for her upcoming album, Until Then, which is set to arrive in the spring. Check out Ms. Luckett getting cinematic with it in the clip for "Back 2 Life" below.
