GoldLink, Brent Faiyaz & Jefe Introduce Us To Their DMV 'Crew'

If you're wondering how to put on for your city, take a page from GoldLink. Back in December, the D.C.-bred rapper dropped his single "Crew" with assists from Brent Faiyaz and Jefe (the artist formerly known as Shy Glizzy), and now he's released the music video repping strong for the DMV. GoldLink and Jefe hail from D.C. and Brent represents Baltimore, which all makes for a fun time when they get their respective crews together to chill and groove to the track. Directed by Matthew Dillon Cohen, the video begins with random scenes from around the DMV and later moves to a daytime kickback with GoldLink and company in a neighborhood park.

The video clique includes stylish girls and guys with dirt bikes, someone's dog and GoldLink's blue fur coat. Brent and GoldLink take turns showing off their fancy footwork as the crew vibes in the background. Jefe delivers his verses when the sun goes down, stressing that the DMV is nothing to play with. You'll find no explicit D.C. scenes or landmarks in this video, which is what makes it great. The visuals focus on the artists' community and a genuine celebration of how far they've all come.

On "Crew," each participant reps their cities by showing up, showing out and delivering a track that could easily become a DMV anthem. "Crew" is the first single from GoldLink’s upcoming project, which we still don't have a title or release date for yet, but we do know it's coming out this year. While we wait, and hope that it comes sooner than later, watch GoldLink, Brent Faiyaz and Jefe get in with their "Crew" when you press play.
