La'Porsha Renae Doesn't Want To Win, Apparently

Some people just don't want to succeed in life. La'Porsha Renae, the runner-up on American Idol's final season, has once again opened her mouth to speak on the LGBTQ community — though we're trying to figure out who asked her in the first place. The singer, who is set to release her debut Already All Ready at the end of this month, went on a Twitter tirade (seriously, celebs, stop friggin' tweeting) addressing a Twitter user's remark about her homophobia. She claimed she is not homophobic and that, for some, homosexuality is a choice. And how does she know this? Because she spent a two-year stint as a lesbian and then, due to her Christian faith, chose to walk a different path. There's so much to unpack there, but we don't have the time nor do we care enough to. Look, we're not in the business of telling folks how to live or how to express their beliefs. However, we do believe that artists should be smart enough to recognize who their fanbase is — especially when they have yet to get a solid footing in the recording industry. We're afraid it might be a wrap for La'Porsha before it even started. Sad. #GrandOpeningGrandClosing
